I am interested in partial ownership of a private small business, Is anybody aware of any resource that provides listings where businesses are willing to a sell equity stake? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Like Scott said, the ones I've seen have been for earlier stage companies. For those, AngleList is the big one (https://angel.co/). There are some sites for secondary shares of larger growth companies, too. Not sure who the biggest is...maybe Sharepost.
