A few times in the past I've heard mention of personal guarantee insurance. This way, if you need to sign a PG for an acquisition loan, the insurer will bear this risk and your personal assets are protected. Does anyone know if this actually exists, or if it's just wishful thinking?

There was another thread on this a couple of months ago. The bottom line is that a PG insurance product existed a couple of years ago, but is no longer available in the US market.

This is a pretty interesting concept, kind of like buying a credit default swap on yourself. Let me know if you find anything interesting Matthew.
