Poland - the place to be?
I'm Krzysztof, based in Poznań, Poland. I'm putting together a search fund to acquire and run a business in Poland, and I'd like to hear from investors who are interested in the Polish market, or open to it.
A bit about me: I've spent the last 15 years in commercial roles, a Polish industrial technology company. I started in export sales and have been Chief Commercial Officer since 2025, responsible for the full revenue base, a team of about 20 people and a large international distributor network. Before that I co-founded a small endurance cycling event business, grew it and sold it inredactedI finished my Executive MBA at ESMT Berlin this year.
Why Poland: a large share of Polish SMEs were founded in the early 1990s, and many of those founders are now reaching retirement without a clear successor. Valuations are still reasonable compared to Western Europe, there are many solid, profitable companies in industrial B2B niches, and the search fund model is still very new here. I see that as an opportunity rather than a risk, but I know it means investors will have questions, and I'm happy to answer them.
At this stage I'm talking to both institutional search fund investors and individual investors (former searchers, operators, angels). If you invest in search funds, are thinking about Central and Eastern Europe, or simply want to compare notes on searching in a less mature market, please send me a message here or connect with me on LinkedIn. I'd be glad to set up a call.
Thanks,
Krzysztof
