Pool services - feedback and connections

I know there have been a handful of posts like this over the years but most of them are fairly dated by now.

Am currently exploring pool services (cleaning + light repair) and am hoping to talk to others (searchers, operators, investors) with experience in this space.

Particularly curious to learn about labor challenges, competition (from roll-ups or new starts), and streamlining operations (route design, common customer issues, etc.).

Location would be in the south but eager to discuss with anyone who has experience, location agnostic. Thanks in advance!
