Hey everyone! Long time searcher first time poster. Catch my interview & story of our first acquisition on Will's podcast called "Acquiring Minds".
We have recently been introduced to an opportunity that requires financing above SBA limits. (Yes, I know this question has been asked before; before posting this I contacted most of the people that commented that they could possibly help with a solution.)
Our financing need would be in the range of $8-10m, this purchases ~$2.5m in EBITDA & ~$3m in combined collateral between FF&E/AR/Inventory. The target is a distribution company with notable competitive advantage and 5 years of significant growth.
It would be great to find someone through the platform but I did want to frame this post in a way that people could add value or we could discuss what feels like a gap in the acquisition funding marketplace. $10M seems to small for the big funds but too big for SBA. When was the last SBA limit adjustment? What are other people targeting businesses of this size doing creatively to get an opportunity of this size to the finish line?
