Role Description
This is a remote internship role for a Private Equity Internship. The Private Equity Intern will be responsible for supporting the Private Equity team in various tasks, including conducting analyses, preparing presentations, researching industries and companies, and supporting investment underwriting and due diligence.
Internship Goals:
1. Gain comprehensive insight into the digital marketing and media industry, focusing on market trends, consumer behavior, and technological advancements impacting the sector's dynamics and competition.
2. Conduct detailed financial and operational due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including analyzing company financials, business models, and growth strategies within the digital marketing and media landscape.
3. Develop and refine a Leveraged Buyout (LBO) model tailored to digital marketing and media companies, incorporating scenario analysis to assess various investment outcomes.
4. Assist in the creation and updating of investment memos and Letters of Intent (LOIs), ensuring they reflect the strategic vision and financial objectives of the investment team.
5. Support the due diligence process by managing digital data rooms, categorizing critical documents, and collaborating with the investment team to evaluate findings and make informed decisions.
6. Gain real-world experience that supports professional development as a private equity professional by working with a strong leadership team on a high-priority live deal.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or an MBA
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Knowledge of financial modeling, accounting, and finance is required
Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with senior-level executives
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environment, as well as in a collaborative team-based environment
Some experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or related field
