Athena Holding is a self-funded search fund focused on acquiring middle-market businesses in Italy. Until recently, the founder was responsible for Italy and Spain for a >3 B€ family-backed investment vehicle. We are looking for interns (analyst or associate level) on a rolling basis who are interested in a hands-on learning experience with many of the core activities involved with running a middle market private equity firm. Interns should expect to develop a fundamental knowledge of the process by which middle market companies are bought and sold. They will gain a working understanding of the industry participants involved in middle market transactions and will have the opportunity to be involved in the acquisition sourcing, investment thesis creation, financial modeling and due diligence processes. Numerous learning, coaching, mentoring and other development opportunities will be available as well as introductions and references into various work (PE, IB, consulting) and MBA communities (INSEAD, LBS, IESE, etc.).
