We are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Intern to support our Investment Manager. This internship offers comprehensive exposure to the private equity investment process and is ideal for individuals keen to gain practical experience and develop skills relevant to private equity, investment banking, and entrepreneurship. Internship Overview Position: Private Equity Intern Location: Remote Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week for 3 months (flexible schedule). Compensation: Unpaid; however, we are open to discussing compensation based on qualifications, experience, and contributions. Collaboration: Weekly video calls and regular interaction with the team are expected. Key Responsibilities Industry Research and Deal Sourcing Conduct in-depth research on target industries. Develop investment theses and analyse business models. Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets. Recommend improvements to our sourcing strategy. Draft outreach communications for prospective acquisitions. Investment Analysis Review and summarise Investment Memorandums from brokers. Assess opportunities and evaluate deal viability. Due Diligence Support Prepare due diligence materials and question lists. Analyse target companies’ markets, financial performance, business models, customer bases, and competitors. Financial Modelling & Valuation Support the development of investment theses. Build leveraged buyout (LBO) models. Provide valuation recommendations supported by thorough research. Strategic Projects Identify and propose value-adding initiatives. Contribute to multiple live deals for hands-on experience. Candidate Profile Education Background in Finance, Economics, or Business Management. Recent graduate or current MBA/CFA candidate preferred. Skills Highly organised, analytical, and self-motivated. Strong business development mindset with the ability to challenge and improve existing processes. Prior experience with industry research tools and CRM systems is advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid understanding of financial statements.
