Mission To work directly with a private acquirer to scale and streamline a proprietary deal sourcing pipeline—initially by automating and managing existing manual workflows, and eventually by contributing to deal evaluation and outbound sourcing strategy. My goal: source, analyze, close an opportunity by 12/24/2025. We will accomplish as much as the agreed upon time will allow. Core Objectives Phase 1: System Automation + Pipeline Support (Build a trustworthy deal generating flywheel) Eliminate manual tasks through automation,and workflow optimization Help improve the triage process for evaluating deals using Google Sheets + custom scoring logic. Support refinement of outbound contact (Apollo.io) including: Lead list cleaning/enrichment Response routing Phase 2: Leverage Creation + Bottleneck Elimination (Analyze efficiently) Track and identify current bottlenecks in the deal pipeline (e.g., outbound response rates, diligence depth). Contribute to outreach targeting strategy (e.g., better segmentation, founder research). Monitor broker site changes and alert to any new listings or proprietary deal mentions. Create SOPs and automated systems for repetitive research or data extraction tasks Gain full understanding of LBO calculation. Phase 3: High-Impact Thinking + Deal Evaluation (Close a multi-million dollar deal before Christmas) Help summarize and pre-screen inbound deals. Research industries and competitive landscapes for top-tier listings. Draft internal memos on why a deal is worth pursuing or should be discarded. Contribute to the preparation of and participate in meetings with the “deal team”: sellers, brokers, bankers, private investors, accountants, lawyers. Skills You’ll Need or Build Systems thinking & identifying bottlenecks in information flow Web scraping, automation tools (Python, Google Apps Script a plus) Google Sheets & data scoring frameworks Outreach tools (Apollo.io etc) Research & synthesis skills for company and market diligence Mindset You’ll Need or Build As it relates to a working relationship, the rate of progress in these areas are more important than anything else in this document. These are the non-negotiables. Problem solving mindset / capacity for structured thinking (ambiguity reigns in entrepreneurship) Curiosity and bias towards action (to have conviction in SMART theories, act upon them, and iterate towards a goal is invaluable) Ability to self-manage (it is a superpower to go from 0 > 1, everyday) Tools in Use Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive) LLMs (ChatGPT) Apollo.io Python (scraping scripts) Google Apps Script Searchfunder, Flippa, QuietLight, WebsiteClosers, Acquire, Empire Flippers, etc. The Goal Get to 10–15 qualified acquisition targets at all times, using systematized workflows, tech-enabled sourcing, and targeted outreach. You will be a key part of identifying and removing bottlenecks along the way, with increasing exposure to real deal flow and founder conversations. Become equipped to manage an LBO process from deal origination to deal closure.
