All- while this isn't a search specific question this community can likely help.

I'm helping out an entrepreneur get her product into senior care facilities. If anyone has research the industry and could provide guidance it would a huge help. Specifically we're trying to understand if there are material standards. For example, if the product was an IV pole are there certain aluminums that must be used, bed sheets are there certain fabrics that must be used etc.

Much appreciated.

Hi Josh, this is a regulated industry and each facility must maintain certain regulations to maintain their ability to provide their service. In addition, if it's a medical device, those are subject to additional regulations. So, an attorney would generally review for compliance with those regulations. In addition, for this specific industry, if the product helps the facility comply with the highest standards, it could be a marketing point. I'd be happy to discuss this further.

Josh, I would try contacting someone at a group purchasing / procurement organization that serves senior care facilities. Someone at a company like Direct Supply would know all the detailed requirements for equipment in these facilities.
