Hi everyone
has anyone acquired or rolled up professional services firms (eg accountants, lawyers etc)?
Would be keen to hear any feedback - anything in particular to look out for, how it's gone so far for you etc.
Thanks in advance!

I have a prolific veterinarian hospital consolidator as a client. They have a veterinarian equity partner in each operating entity and the model is great--ensures good oversight from licensed personnel and aligns everyone on down- and upside. The hardest part is finding business-minded and high-producing vets. The same is true with private medicine practices and medical adjacent businesses like medspas--not all technically good professionals are good business people or partners--the same is definitely true of lawyers hahaha. Shoot me a note if I can be a resource (I practice in the US and not in the UK for what that's worth) - redacted

I've acquired 3 accounting firms. Short version: happy to be in the space, it's very hard to a good first acquisition (most for sale are old school, owner dependent, poorly priced services) , it's all about people.

Don't send a DM asking to pick my brain, please. Search 'acquiring minds bookkeeping' and listen to the podcasts there from me, Chris Williams, and others and then I'm happy to chat.
