Spring 2026 Internship | Prospecting & Sales Support | Pioneer Capital Advisory (Remote) Pioneer Capital Advisory is a fast-growing, buy-side loan brokerage operating at the cutting edge of acquisition finance. We advise business buyers, self-funded searchers, and independent sponsors on how to structure and secure debt for lower middle market acquisitions. In 2025 alone, Pioneer Capital Advisory closed over $124 million of SBA 7(a) acquisition financing and continues to scale both its SBA and non-SBA platforms. This internship offers a front-row seat inside a transaction-driven firm where finance, entrepreneurship through acquisition, and private markets intersect daily. This is not a passive internship. The Prospecting and Sales Support Intern will work directly with our origination and business development efforts to identify, research, and qualify acquisition entrepreneurs. We are looking for sharp, hungry students who want real exposure, real responsibility, and real expectations. We care deeply about the dog factor. That means grit, urgency, ownership, and the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight. If you need constant direction, this is not the role for you. Key Responsibilities (1) Identify and research self-funded searchers, traditional searchers, and acquisition entrepreneurs who may be a fit for Pioneer Capital Advisory (2) Support outbound and inbound prospecting across LinkedIn, ETA communities, conference attendee lists, and proprietary sourcing channels (3) Maintain and analyze prospect data within internal systems and CRM tools (4) Prepare background research to support outreach, discovery calls, and follow-ups (5) Perform initial diligence on prospects to assess acquisition stage, financial capacity, and overall fit (6) Contribute to ad hoc sales, marketing, and growth initiatives as the firm scales What You Will Learn (1) How acquisition entrepreneurs source deals and think about leverage (2) The economic mechanics of SBA 7(a) acquisition financing (3) How buy-side advisory firms generate and qualify deal flow (4) How high-performance sales and origination teams actually operate Compensation & Time Commitment -$15 per hour -Approximately 20 hours per week Remote role -Spring 2026 start (targeting the week of January 19th, depending on availability) -Background check required Ideal Candidate Profile -Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in economics, business, finance, or a related field -Minimum GPA of 3.5 -Strong interest in entrepreneurship through acquisition, private markets, or leveraged finance -Clear dog factor: self-starter, gritty, commercially minded, and comfortable working autonomously -Strong written and verbal communication skills Additional Benefits -Direct exposure to live deal flow and client origination activity -Meaningful responsibility on high-impact, real-world projects -Successful completion of the internship will result in a letter of recommendation from Matthias Smith, President and Owner of Pioneer Capital Advisory How to Apply (Both Steps Required) Apply via LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/###-###-#### / Complete the TestGorilla assessment: https://app.testgorilla.com/s/2pw9hdl3 Both the LinkedIn application and the TestGorilla assessment are required for your application to be considered complete.
