This might be tough love for people to hear, but as a prolific search fund investor, if you share with me or I otherwise learn that you have taken one of those scam courses or accelerators, for example, one by Codie Sanchez or Ben Kelly, that is an immediate red flag. I will immediately pass on investing in you or your acquisition. Those two programs, among many others, are completely illegitimate and run by known grifters/liars. Being a member of those programs is a signal that you are not qualified to buy a business. I know multiple investors and lenders who won’t work with you if you’ve been a part of these “communities”. Now, if you were unfortunately duped into buying one of those courses, I'm sorry you were deceived. My encouragement to you would be to brush it off and move on. Yes, you wasted money on a scam, but you can move on from it. Just make sure that you don't have it anywhere on your profile, for example. Additionally, if I were you, I would be very vocal about the fact that it's a scam to warn others. It's very sad to see so many people believe the delusional promises from these programs. And try getting a refund, I’ve heard of many people successfully doing so. Codie and Ben are very aware it is a scam, and they’ll capitulate if you escalate.

TY for the tag Luke. Haven't been involved with any of Codie or other's courses so can't speak to them. Lot of false gurus out there obviously in today's vaporware world of online marketing... a note of caution always important. I also wouldn't back anyone that lists an online course - better to have domain expertise, technical expertise (operating or M&A) or done a prev. deal... that's a much easier conversation to have.

Never heard of them, sounds like a decent idea to avoid them, though.
