Has anybody in Searchfunder successfully acquired a Puerto Rico company? I've read all of the posts on this topic (they are helpful!), but have yet to encounter somebody who's successfully done it in Puerto Rico. Interested in meeting like-minded people who have acquired or are interested in acquiring in Puerto Rico

Have met brokers, bankers, lawyers in Puerto Rico, and the search fund model is certainly viable. However, the pool of attractive businesses is limited, the business reporting leaves a lot to be desired. If you get that far, valuation expectations are frequently greater than 10x SDE. Many of the bankers also don't seem to understand the SBA lending process as an SBA preferred lender quoted a rate of 16-19%. Despite this, I remain optimistic

Thank you @Ben and redacted In the time since my post, I've met with ~8 PR search funders, including some who have already acquired multiple businesses. I have a much better understanding of what's required, and it's not for faint of heart but there is a lot of potential. I'll reach out separately.
