Hi Polina, on due diligence that we have done (not formal QoE) we will have a cap on initial due diligence and then a contingent fee if the deal closes. The intent of this is to defer a good portion of the fee until post-close. I don't know of anyone who would defer their entire fee, though.

There are several acquisitions groups that advertise on social media that claim that this is possible, but once you get into it, you will find that it is rare. Still possible, but only if you have a lot of capital and, typically, a history with the firm.
