My partner and I are currently in the due diligence phase of acquiring a marketing and branding agency with strong capabilities in website development, brand and logo design, and lead generation services. We’re exploring the idea of developing a specialized offering tailored to Searchfunds and individual searchers—specifically those who need to refresh their online presence, rebrand post-acquisition, or establish a strong sales pipeline. We’d love to hear from others in this community: Would a one-stop shop for marketing, branding, and lead generation—designed specifically for searchers—be valuable to you?

Yes, and I would refer you all day long. My advice, though, to you and all searchers- that Day 1 is not the time. Plan a rebrand 4-6 months in, after you've seen the reality of the business and what's possible and the actual changes to be made. Day 1 business will not have the legs for this kind of change. Month 5 business will be showing the early signs of who the company will actually be.

If you rebrand, make sure you do this in parallel. We had a case where buyer rebrands, and seller a few months takes up the old brand and resumed business. That buyer did not have non compete in place and so he lost his investment. Traps for the unwary.
