Good afternoon,

Any recommendations of M&A Brokers in Houston Area, Dallas or San Antonio that could be specialized in small and mid-size companies to look for search fund deals?
Thanks in advance,

Best,

I'm way late to this thread, so apologies there - but in searcher and operator experience a few of the brokers / small investment banks I worked with and ran across were the best in Houston in their respective areas:
1. At Sunbelt, I recommend Dan Altom. Solid guy and trustworthy.
2. For lower middle market deals (generally a bit larger than most brokers have), I highly recommend two different companies:
a. Exit Advisors
b. Gilbert and Pardue

Been out of the searching game for a while, but these are a few of the folks I had very positive experiences with just a couple years ago!

Great insights from everyone! It's crucial to thoroughly evaluate individuals involved to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their roles. Additionally, I've reviewed numerous CIMs/CBRs, and I've noticed that many brokers haven't conducted thorough due diligence on their own documents. It surprises them when I point out that the CIM/CBR is outdated. This is why disclaimers exist, emphasizing the importance of conducting your own diligence. I'm not trying to be negative, but I want to prioritize protection and education regarding the reality of the situation.
