If anybody has joined The Acquisition Lab or SMBootcamp, could you please share a quick review - would you recommend, is it worth the price?

SMBootcamp is great, lots of practical advice and to me the best part was that you meet a cohort of other searchers as well as potential deal support team and people that have bought businesses. Going through SMBootcamp gave me the confidence to quit my corporate job and go all-in on search. I also looked at Acquisition Lab - the main differences are that it is more expensive but also offers more ongoing support - and is online rather than in person. If you want more ongoing support, SMBootcamp Live was recently launched and you can pay a fee for the ongoing support - weekly calls with Sam Rosati and almost daily calls with deal support team members and successful searchers sharing their journey and answering questions. From what I’ve seen, I don’t think you can go wrong with either one but they do have a few differences.

I can’t speak about Acquisition Lab but I just attended the December SMBootcamp and its definitely worth it. I’m new to the search space the last few months and I was up to speed on all the books, podcasts, models, etc heading into bootcamp. I thought I had a great foundation until I went to Tampa. Sam, Chandler, and the rest of the team do an incredible job delivering so much information to you in short period of time. It’s obvious when you walk in the door on day 1 that they put an incredible amount of thought and effort into the program. The high-quality curriculum, enthusiastic and knowledgeable speakers, and the two fantastic evenings out as a cohort were all exceptionally well done. They even arm you with a deal team that has deep knowledge and experience. Don’t think twice about the cost because it will prepare you for getting a deal done with confidence.
