I am contemplating an opportunity that will require me to relocate across the country if we close the transaction. Overseeing the daily movement of inventory will be something I will want to get very familiar/involved with on Day 1, so ideally I would like to move during DD - not sure if that is a good idea. Wondering if others in the community have had to relocate and would be willing to share their experience and tips...Thanks! PS: The move would involve just packing me and my dog, so would be somewhat logistically easier relative to those with families.

From the lender perspective, I’m so glad you’ve realized relocation is required. I see business Transitons fail where new CEOs believe they can run a company remotely. (For industries not in remote or virtually run models). The simplest business models need oversight and leadership especially in the early stages of transition. Good luck and be well. redacted

When my wife and I bought a company, we moved into temporary housing (short term apt. rental), pick out a house but did not close on it until the business transaction closed.
