Below is a refined summary and detailed description of the role: Internship Overview: Position: Private Equity Intern Location: Remote Commitment: Flexible but would need to be a minimum of 20 hours per week for 3 months. Work hours are up to you however we expect regular interaction with our team via video call, at least a couple of times a week. Key Responsibilities: Industry Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on various industries. Develop investment theses and an understanding of business models for selected industries Identify and evaluate acquisition targets using specific criteria. Propose improvements to the sourcing process with innovative ideas. Produce emails for outreach to targeted small businesses Investment Memorandum Analysis: Review and analyze Investment Memorandums from brokers. Summarize key points and assess deal viability. Due Diligence Preparation: Prepare due diligence questions and materials. Analyze target companies' markets, financials, business models, customer experiences, and competitors. Financial Modeling and Valuation: Develop investment theses and build leveraged buyout (LBO) models. Calculate research-backed valuation recommendations. Proactive Project Identification: Identify and propose value-adding projects and initiatives. Engage in multiple live deals, providing a rich learning experience. Candidate Qualifications: Educational Background: Finance, economics or business management background with strong business development skills. Recently graduated or current MBA or CFA student. Skills: Well-organized, analytical, and a self-starter. Ability to challenge existing processes and bring fresh energy.
