Tri Volta Investments Ltd. is a micro-private equity firm specializing in transactions within the software and SaaS space. Through our Fall and Spring internship cohorts we offer an invaluable opportunity for aspiring professionals to gain firsthand experience in the field.
During our Fall 2023 Internship cohort, we had a SaaS deal under Letter of Intent (LOI) and offered four students the opportunity to work through the financial modeling, due diligence and deal memo process. The deal has now advanced to definitive agreement stage and for the Spring 2024 internship cohort, we will contemplate final capital structure, detailed post-close financial modeling and operational plans.
Role Overview:
We are looking to hire###-###-#### interns who will actively participate in pivotal aspects of the acquisition process, assisting with due diligence, market research, deal team support, and myriad administrative tasks. This position promises real deal experience, offering insights into due diligence, financial modeling, and capital raising in the SaaS sector. We are particularly looking for candidates that have at least one of the following skillsets:
(1) candidates with consulting and operational experience who can help form detailed post-close operational plans
(2) candidates with strong PowerPoint skills
(3) candidates with detailed financial modelling prowess who can help design in-depth assumptions backing financial projections for the first###-###-#### months of operation including scenario analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake comprehensive market research tailored to the software niche in focus.
• Provide support to the deal team, crafting PowerPoint slides.
• Organize and streamline investor meetings.
• Enhance and tweak our financial models, incorporating scenario analysis.
• Compose memos and other relevant documentation.
• Collaborate on lender due diligence processes and maintain contact with lenders.
• Fulfill other administrative roles as needed, in line with the acquisition timeline.
Qualifications:
• Masters / MBA level students are preferred, but applications from undergraduates and other professionals showcasing the necessary skills are welcome.
• Strong analytical and research prowess.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and related software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and operate within tight deadlines.
• Profound interest in the software and SaaS sectors and micro-private equity transactions.
Commitment: This is an unpaid internship. Interns are expected to commit a minimum of###-###-#### hours a week on designated work tasks. We look for passionate interns who are excited by the prospect of closing a deal and seeing the transaction lead to an operating capacity.
