Are you an undergraduate looking to get exposure to private equity and /or management consulting?
I am a Principal at Boston Consulting Group, and have spent most of my time in our Private Equity practice.
I am looking for an intern to conduct research into specific industries / sub-sectors, for the purpose of identifying investment theses and opportunities. The position has significant flexibility around timing / time commitment, is fully remote, and will include significant coaching and mentoring to help prepare you for either PE interviews (i.e. LBO modeling, due diligence) or management consulting interviews, depending on your interest/preference.
Weekly responsibilities likely to include (in approximate order of time commitment):
- Industry research (primarily desk research and calls)
- Financial modeling and structuring
- Other tasks as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
• An interest in business (entrepreneurship, finance) with some basic knowledge, e.g., familiarity with core business and financial terms
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Basic proficiency with Excel
• Proactivity and tenacity
• Interest in Sports Business a plus, but not necessary
Position details:
• Time commitment: ~10 ours per week with flexibility day-to-day / week-to-week
• Start and duration: Starting ASAP, flexible on duration - minimum 4 weeks but likely more
• Location: Remote
• Unpaid internship, but happy to explore procuring academic credit
• Reports to Venkat
