What’s your strategy to accelerate revenue growth post-close? How will your sales team be equipped to: • Get in front of the right buyers faster? • Advance opportunities more effectively? • Sell on value without sacrificing margins? And once you land the business—what’s your plan to grow it from within? A strong account management approach can turn one deal into a long-term revenue stream. I’m sure you’ve thought about this. I’d love to hear how you’re planning to execute.

Revenue growth is a critical value lever in any business acquisition and I don’t understand why sales (it is a learned skill) is not an integral part of MBA curriculums. I recommend searchers have a plan starting at diligence to assess the targets capability to support proforma growth targets and build a point of view how to enhance the organizations capability in this area post close. Sustainable organic growth is critical to everyone’s acquisition value creation strategy!
