It is a tough space to break into, even all of those Fin link and the others, are really geared towards operating RIAs acquiring another firm, most are not geared towards an ETA option or a solo operator acquiring them. I have not had much luck in looking, spoken to several brokers who have never seen one sold or heard about it. I did for awhile think it would be interesting to buy a CPA firm, and then start an RIA alongside it referring my CPA clients to the RIA, and you could just hire a CPA to do the taxes so you don't have to also become an accountant.
