I’m heading back to Rotterdam for the second RSM ETA Conference on 26 November and wanted to share it here. Last year, I was one of five searchers who pitched. Three of last year’s participants subsequently raised funding for their search funds. Erik Roelofsen has confirmed that there are still opportunities to pitch this year, so if you’re raising a search fund, get in touch with him to find out more. The conference brings together searchers, investors, business owners and operators from across Europe. It’s held in English and organised by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. I particularly enjoyed how openly people shared their experiences last year, including the challenges they were facing. We were amongst the first to arrive and the last to leave, with plenty still to talk about. I’ll be there again this year. Let me know if you’re coming along, it would be good to meet!
