FYI in case anyone hasn't seen this resource: here's a list of the top SBA lenders nationally by deal count and dollar value! I am in the process of putting together financing for my self-funded search, so figured I'd share this post.

If anyone has feedback on banks that they've worked with that 1) have fast approval processes, 2) minimize their collateral obligations, and 3) are experienced looking at goodwill transactions, recommendations would be appreciated!

I concur with many of the comments above. Just because these lenders have done the most volume, it does not mean they are all doing goodwill based transactions and they all operate using all of what is allowed in the SBA lending program. Also, many of the biggest SBA lenders actually have the slowest processes because they are so busy. Also, many of your largest Banks run a significant volume of small SBA loan deals versus doing more traditional small business lending.

We are a Commercial Loan Brokerage shop and we work with over 60+ SBA lending partners. The whole reason for working with so many is you have to know what lenders are doing in what deals in what industries and under what terms. Some of the smaller to mid-sized SBA lenders actually get quite a bit more aggressive on certain deal types. If you need assistance you can reach me at any time at redacted or here.

Hi Albert, I'd like to throw my hat in on this. In my experience the lenders you'll find on on SearchFunder are all excellent. That being said not every SBA lender, regardless of loan volume will have an appetite for the type of loan restructures needed for a ETA transaction###-###-#### redacted
