Hatch Equity: Search Fund Internship
Hatch equity is a long term holding company that provides business owners with a rewarding way to transition their legacies. While Hatch Equity acquires businesses like a traditional private equity company, after an acquisition, Hatch intends to operate the business in perpetuity instead of reselling the business after a certain number of years. Entrepreneurs ourselves, we value the hard work that goes into creating a successful business, so following an acquisition, we continue operations and retain the employees that helped to build the business into the success that it achieved.
Role Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and driven individuals to join our team for an immersive internship focused on Entrepreneurship-through-Acquisition and Private Equity. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end business acquisition process, involving industry and market research, deal sourcing, live calls with business owners, investment analysis, due diligence, and deal closure. Ideal candidates are eager to make a significant impact, wholly bought-in to our mission, and committed to contributing to the acquisition of a lower middle market business.

- Deal Sourcing: Help identify eligible targets based on our acquisition criteria and conduct outreach to business owners based on modern go-to-market techniques.
- Market Research: Conduct industry and macro research to identify emerging trends and attractive investment opportunities within our targeted business verticals.

- Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process, including financial modeling, competitive analysis, and market assessments.
- Outreach and Networking: Engage with industry experts, river guides, and potential business partners to build and maintain a robust network and deal pipeline.
