Search Fund Study: 100% Self-Funded Searchers?

Are there any search fund studies on 100% Self-Funded (Bootstrapped) searchers?

Note: this is different than a "self-funded searcher" in the GSB study:
-GSB defines a "self-funded searcher" as one who funds their own search costs, but not the acquisition, and ends up owning 50-75% of the equity
-I define a "100% self-funded searcher" as one who funds their own search costs AND the acquisition, and ends up owning 100% of the equity

Presumably, the 100% self-funded searcher wouldn't have any board members.

Thanks in advance.

I think you can just look at the SBA data in general. The search fund community is unlikely to produce a study in that category. The report wouldn’t help the average searcher or investor.

I spent some time looking into it. I never found any formal studies and so ended up just talking to folks that went that route. I would love to hear about it if you do.
