Hi all,

General question I wanted to post here, but am launching a new funded search and want to make sure my website is as good as it can be. Any general do's or don'ts? Has anyone ever had a business owner or intermediary make a comment about their website that I should know ahead of time?

Thanks!

I wouldn't over think it -- 99% of these websites are practically indistinguishable. its really more of a box checking exercise. You should run through the searchfund list here: https://www.searchfunder.com/searchfund/allsearchfunds and collect a sample of recent pages. Most of them will have 1) investment criteria 2) an investor list 3) about the searcher(s) 4( some sort of visual or textual explanation of why you are a better exit than PE/selling to competitors. Here's a good example from a completed search: https://www.victoriasidepartners.com/

Because we publicize the searcher’s website, nearly every broker, owner, seller, lender and everyone else we want to favorably influence sees (and tells us they like) the ^redacted‌ website: http://www.danprecourt.com/ Tip: Don’t exaggerate. We can Zoom if you want to know more.
