I come from the world of venture, where we do party rounds and generally try to bring in as many people as we can to a favorable deal to build trust, demonstrate competency, and cement relationships. Do the same principles apply in bringing in as many investors as one can or is it best to keep a high minimum and work with a smaller group of investors?

Investors' management takes time, and this is a valuable asset during the search. A different point of view would enrich your search, but it could be also a mess trying to align them. Said that I would contact as many investors as I could and then select the ones whose interests and motivations are aligned with yours. If any has a different approach it would be your decision to balance the potential benefits of having him on board. Best!
