Quick Google search brings up www.searchfund.org, which includes the following list: Anacapa Partners, Bradford Brown, Cambria Group, Double R Partners, Futaleufu Partners, Graue Mill Partners, Housatonic Partners, Kinderhook Partners, M2O, Ohana Capital, EtA Club, Pacific Lake Partners, Peterson Partners, Relay Investments, RHV Capital, Search Fund Partners, Trilogy Search, Search Fund Accelerator, NextGen Growth Partners, Broadtree Partners.

Outside of this list, I'd ask searchers in your network for warm intros to their investors and talk to angels/execs that know you well.

Dear "anonymous", if you’re looking for a relevant answer you me want to disclose a few details on your location, background and project scope. The US and Europe may not work the same and some investors may or not invest in certain fields. I would reverse your question and look for "the right way to find the most effective investors", it could be more about adequate support than funding.
