"All I Want To Know Is Where I'm Going To Die So I'll Never Go There" - Charlie Munger

After yesterday's demo of GPT-4o, OpenAI wiped out ~$340M of market cap of Duolingo inc: a public company, just minutes after launching.

With the recent AI Developments (Vision, Voice, Text, latency, Context Window, Rate limit, Multimodality, Reasoning, Agents, Tooling), I'm curious how search fund investment firms or small and mid market PE firms are de-risking their investments and if there's a way we could use collective knowledge here to consolidate a list of AI disruption-prone industries to avoid or others to focus on in a searcher's investment thesis?

I look forward to hearing everyone's takes.

Perhaps flip that question on its head. Which businesses and sectors will be supercharged by AI and can I acquire a business and be an early adopter

Anything media or SEO related seems to be in a rough spot - that could be digital agencies or a pure media biz
