I do not currently have a dedicated website for my search/capital company. So I have the following website questions/asks for guidance:

1. In your experience, what are good recommendations for inexpensive website builders?

2. In your opinion, what current searcher websites I should look at for guidance?

3. Is a website even necessary? Why, why not?

For some, websites help with identity and a way to show off track record or experience.

1. I would go on fiverr.com for an inexpensive builder, and either you will have to provide hosting i.e. wix.com, Wordpress.com, etc. or they can provide one for you via bluehost or their preferred choice. (anywhere from $15-$100/month) you only need the basics.

2. I'd suggest picking a business model similar to yours or ones in your area that you really like, for instance choose based off of content you like, aesthetics, and functionality/buttons. Meaning do you need someone to be able to fill out a questionnaire or capture the person's email address, or have a call now button, etc.

3. Yes and No. it depends on your business and how you are getting in touch with your prospects. if everything you do is over the phone or online leads, then I highly suggest having a website for social proof. If you are getting your leads from referrals or by going to events, you should be okay and get away with not having one, but again your website gives you social proof, its a way for someone to verify who you are, and you can even post a link or highlight your credentials like being on the BBB or yelp.

At the end of the day.... I highly suggest getting a website. if you are going to outsource having it done from Fiverr.com it will cost you anywhere from $100-$500 and all you'll have to do is give them a website you like to resemble, except you should always provide your own content in your own words. I am not an attorney so please be cautious with copyright.. although the freelancers on fiverr will assist you with this to make sure you are good. Message the freelances to get a quote before you pay for the services and also check out some of the work they've done for other clients.

if you are looking for an all-in-one full service website that has all the features and beauty's then hire a website company.. it will cost you anywhere from 4k-20k and sometimes with a monthy fee.

I think you will be okay with a fiverr website, they still do very good work and are responsive to your needs.

I've built a few websites for myself and others, so it really isn't too difficult and you'll be happy you did so..

I know I wrote a lot and this is just my own opinion, but I hope this helps.

Hi, ^redacted‌ - Some of the early searchers successfully acquired without a website, but now I think a website and an updated LinkedIn profile are essential. I don't think it's a stretch to say that I've looked at over 95% of searcher websites. I see the biggest gaps in answering two questions:
1) why is this person a good fit to be a CEO of my company? and
2) what business is this person seeking to buy?

When I prepare the One Minute News, I sometimes don't have time to write much about a searcher's launch, while other times there's just not much I can say even after looking at their announcement, LinkedIn profile and website.

If you haven't found it yet, here's the One MInute News: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWqsL9rxtrvIOUkE4IjAmPk6kb--hsP8Y. I look forward to being able to share news of your launch.
