Really interested to get opinions on creating a pitch deck for investor meetings. Have they been effective? If so, what did you include in your deck? If not, was your PPM an effective tool for your meetings? Any other suggestions for tools in investor meetings?

Thanks in advance!

Think yourself the narrative. Put on the shoes of the investors and ask yourself. What would i want in order to compromise my money fo that period of time?
Usually you can use two-type of decks.

The Teaser, in which you give the actual highlights of the search fund like;
- Volume of the ticket of investment.
- Search and Transaction time
- Operating doing the turnaround time
- Also if there is a complementary equity or interest premium on the initial ticket for the search round if they carry on after you found the target.
- Your background and if is a one-two or more (despite I think that initial guidelines talways talked about one or two).

And on the deck you give full exposure to your background, your investment approach, the volument of the investment and ranges, your actual strategy on equity+debt and so and so (I do not want to write more or this will be biblical)

Finally, in terms of design, I alway ask for someone better than me to do it. So I pay a mkt expert to do it for me based on the narrative sector and so on that you need as a partner.

Alexa. I can't think of a reason to not build a Pitch Deck. Even if you do not utilize it with all of your prospective investors it will help you focus on the key aspects of your search. I suggest having a couple of mentors or fellow search funders review it as if they were asked to invest so you get candid feedback and practice in addressing concerns. In general, putting your plans, ideas and expectations in a concise presentation is normally a hard exercise but will be useful when you interact with prospective sellers and lenders.
