Thanks for the tag @redacted‌ and the opportunity to explain some of the issues facing searchers in Louisiana. I think the main issue is lack of knowledge about how to do a deal. ETA is popular in other places but hasn't caught on in Louisiana. There aren't any conferences or university programs that focus on ETA. The second issue is access to capital. There are only a few family offices and high net worth individuals throughout the state. If you are looking for capital for a deal it is hard to find. SBA loans are available but there is a lack of knowledge about them. The last major issue is small business owners don't know how to sell their businesses. The business owner tells employees to find new jobs then shuts down the business. I've seen this happen multiple times. Happy to share more.
