I'm Francisco Macías, co-founding partner at Macías y Barajas Abogados (MYB), a boutique corporate law firm based in Guadalajara, Jalisco. My practice is corporate and M&A, and we want to be a useful legal counterpart for searchers operating in Mexico — so I'll skip the buy-box question, since I'm not a searcher and not raising a fund. Where I think MYB can add the most value: (i) structuring the Mexican side of cross-border acquisitions — NewCo formation, holding structures, tax-efficient setups; (ii) legal due diligence on Mexican targets, where labor and IMSS / INFONAVIT contingencies tend to be the biggest hidden risks; (iii) SPA negotiation and closing under Mexican law; and (iv) post-closing corporate, labor and contract work as the business begins operating. Happy to connect and strengthen the Mexican SF network!

I ended up not searching (at least for the foreseeable future), but continue interested in the community. As a former consultant, I have experience with due diligence, strategy, and also have operating experience in monetization. Happy to help in any of those dimensions, or just chat.
