I’m looking for capital partners who back seasoned executives in acquiring and operating businesses where the executive brings deep, directly relevant industry experience. My situation is a bit different from the traditional search fund model. I’m a proven corporate CEO with significant operating and leadership experience in the industry I’m targeting, and I’m interested in transitioning from executive leadership to meaningful ownership. I can bring the operating expertise, industry knowledge, relationships, and leadership to acquire and grow the right company, but I’m currently under-capitalized relative to what would typically be required to fund an acquisition personally. Ideally, I’m looking for a capital partner or sponsor willing to back the acquisition while structuring the deal so that I can earn and retain meaningful equity as the owner/operator. I have targets currently in a franchised organization that I formerly led as COO/CRO, one with $12M top line and another at only $400k top line, with available open space nearby to develop. I also had a search I began a couple of years ago in the medspa/anti-aging regenerative medicine space. I have led 5 healthcare companies, created one from scratch Boost Home Healthcare, and led 131 Massage Envy retail spa locations as CEO. I have a thesis in the medspa space to create lifelong clients building in a longevity medicine/wellness component in addition to traditional Med spa services.
