Hi all — I’m looking for a complementary partner to join me in acquiring and operating a business, ideally in Florida (but open to remote setups too). What I’m Looking For: -A finance/banking-savvy partner who can own deal modeling, manage post-close financial ops, and/or support M&A (if we pursue a roll-up) -OR someone with strong sales/marketing chops who can drive post-close growth -Willing to contribute equal or smaller equity (~2.5–10% of deal value) and co-run the company full time with me Target Company: -EBITDA: $750K – $2M+ -Traits: Recurring revenue, no customer concentration, low CapEx, high TAM/growth market, barriers to entry, ideally B2B About Me: -Former Tech/Consulting BizOps w/ high-growth scaling experience -Deep experience in ops, analytics, internal tooling, and cross-functional execution -Skilled at improving processes, aligning teams, and building scalable business systems -Comfortable running the day-to-day while owning internal operations, scaling teams, and strategic execution Deal Setup: -Typical self-funded structure, primarily financed w/ SBA. Only raise additional equity funding for larger deals -Open to various equity split structures — message me if you'd like to explore Location & Timeline -Based in Central Florida, but open to a remote partner -Actively kicking off my search now and looking to team up imminently Also open to joining a capital-backed deal as an operator — if you already have something in motion and need someone to run it, let’s talk. If you see this post after some time, don't hesitate to message. Feel free to DM me or drop a comment. https://www.linkedin.com/in/tj-mattai/

Hi TJ, I’m early in my search and have thought about partnering up. Would love to connect on an intro call and compare thoughts. Shoot me a message if interested and we can set something up for next week.

Hi TJ. I sent you a note on LinkedIn. I’m interested. Your checklist is “perfect” in my view — I’d love to find something that hits many / most with a path to checking all the boxes, to help with the entry multiple. Personally I think it probably needs to be a roll up for this to be really interesting, but even small PE is wise to the game now so a disciplined roll up is the only roll up that works, which is probably a good thing for the world. Tracking synergy realization over time and being honest with yourself about it is something that is rare in the PE world but I don’t think it’s necessarily difficult given the right focus. MN guy in a similar place as you but from the finance side (IB+PE background), so glad to make the connection at least! Thanks for posting
