Some niche lenders do this. They probably scrutinize things pretty heavily given the risk, but I'm not sure of their processes. Talking to a few that crop up in search engine results may help get a lay of the land. Also, this isn't really what you're really asking, but I've read some interesting cases of ESOPs being used to help liquidate ownership stakes in companies.
