Hi all, I’m currently looking at a crane & industrial rigging company in the Northeast and could really use a reality check from someone with industry expertise. I’ve got the finance side covered, but some industry-specific details are new terrain for me. If you or someone you know can speak to things below, let me know: (1) How you plan cap-ex and equipment rebuild cycles (2) Common compliance or insurance issues (3) Things people outside of crane services and industrial rigging would likely miss about this space If you’re open to chatting—or can point me to someone who is—would love to connect. Thanks in advance!

MEI Industrial Solutions and a couple of others have been buying up good, local crane & rigging all over the U.S. Asset heavy companies need to be bought on an EBIT basis, not EBITDA. The hard assets need to be replaced on a consistent schedule just to maintain the free cash flow purchased.

Unfortunately I don't have any referrals but am also interested - I have a proprietary deal that I'm looking at and feel like the learning curve is quite steep given the high CapEx.
