Seeking Mentorship from Former Searchers

Hi all, I’ve recently launched MMP Capital, a traditional search fund focused on acquiring and operating a single SME in Portugal. Despite over 13 years in executive leadership roles (including Global VP at Siemens and CIO of a multinational Caterpillar dealer) I believe that mentorship is crucial at this stage. The ETA path is unique, and learning from those who’ve walked it before is something I truly value. If you're a former searcher open to sharing your journey, even briefly, I'd love to connect. Insights on sourcing, diligence, or life post-acquisition would be incredibly helpful. Thank you in advance and happy to reciprocate in any way I can. Best, Miguel

Beware that anecdotal information is probably not the best way to learn what you need to know. Don't look to other searchers for street smarts. Confer with advisors known to facilitate worthwhile deals. Lots of qualified professionals are posting good info here, on SF. Use the "Search" feature to find topics of interest. (Too many people on social media are adversely influencing searchers.)
