I hope this message finds everyone well. I am currently exploring the opportunity of acquiring a SaaS software company and am in the preliminary stages of planning our due diligence process.

Given the complexity and technical specificity of SaaS platforms, I am keen to engage a third-party service provider that specializes in technical due diligence for such transactions. I am reaching out to see if anyone in this group has experience with SaaS software deals and has used third-party services for the technical assessment of a potential acquisition.

If you have undertaken a similar venture, could you kindly share your insights on:

The third-party firms you engaged with for technical due diligence. Any particular strengths or challenges you encountered with your chosen service provider. Recommendations or tips for navigating technical due diligence in SaaS M&A deals. Your experiences and advice would be invaluable to us as we move forward in our decision-making process. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

^redacted‌, most of my expertise will be on the customer-facing side of the biz. Happy to help there. Wish I could help more on the technical DD.

When you get to diligencing their customers, be sure to do a cohort churn analysis. Also, if you haven't already, try to "become the customer" yourself by going through the onboarding/setup process to see either how great or how it could be improved. If you need a CEO/Operator to run the company, let me know (have a successfully CEO that's looking)
