Self funded vs. Traditional Model vs. Accelerator

Just starting my search process, does anyone have any compiled information on previous research comparing the three models in terms of pros, cons, economics, industries that are more applicable to one model or the other, etc. ?

I'm leaning towards the Self Funded model and would love to chat with others who have had this dilemma about the model in their search.

Hi Shin,
I would recommend reading Jan Simon's book: "Search Funds & Entrepreneurial Acquisitions: The Roadmap for Buying a Business and Leading it to the Next Level".
It is a great book to read if you are interested in search but more specifically, the first chapter compares the different routes to search.

Thanks Jason. I did listen to the Acquiring Minds episode previously, but hadn't seen the one with Jordan Carter. I'm looking forward to seeing the SIG study in January as well!
