Sell-Side advisors, please take a minute to (re)introduce yourself to the Searchfunder Community below. Please share what you do, where you are, how you are compensated, etc. A paragraph or two would be great. Searcher endorsements are encouraged in the sub-replies. Please don't hijack the post if you are not a Sell-Side Advisor. I can always make another thread just for you! :-) Buyside Advisors can comment here: www.searchfunder.com/post/buyside-advisors-please-reintroduce-yourself-here

I’m Vipin Singh, a Business Intermediary and Franchise Owner with Murphy Business Sales. I specialize in the sale of small to lower-middle-market businesses and am here to connect with credible first-time buyers and operators. My background includes over 20 years of experience in Investment Banking, Finance, Risk Management, and Consulting with global Fortune 500 corporations (including firms like Morgan Stanley and PwC). I bring a deep understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and complex deal structuring, backed by a CFA charter and an MBA from the University of Virginia. If you are serious and actively searching, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. To be helpful, I kindly request that you come prepared with the necessary background information, including prior deals, investing and operating experience supported by evidence that makes you a great buyer, different from your competition, including a unique investment thesis/acquisition criteria aligned with your background, and proof of funds. Your professionalism and preparation will allow me to present you as a strong, credible principal capable of a smooth closing, which is often the decisive factor against larger, more impersonal buyers. I look forward to your emails on redacted

Hi. I'm an M&A Advisor and Business Broker with Murphy Business Sales and am the Regional Director for the Carolinas team. We are approximately 80% sell-side and 20% buy-side. Our sell-side sweetspot is companies with $1 mm to $25 mm in revenue. On the buy-side, we represent individuals and companies looking to expand through acquisition. Prior to Murphy, in 2012, I was what would be described as a self-funded searcher (although I don't recall knowing the term existed at the time), leaving a corporate job to own and run my own business — my business just turned out to be M&A (and I used a ROBS for the purchase). The corporate job I was leaving was the COO of a mortgage insurance company (not a fun place to be during the mortgage crisis of###-###-#### and as the founder and head of a FINRA broker-dealer focused on helping the mortgage insurance companies' customers with their divestitures and acquisitions. I started in M&A in 1994 with Wachovia Bank. First in the bank's internal M&A department, and then in its investment banking division, focusing on M&A and private capital raising. While at Wachovia, I received my MBA from Wake Forest. Prior to joining Wachovia, I served as a Naval Flight Officer for six years after receiving my BBA from Emory University. Feel free to email redacted or DM me with questions.
