I think there's a misunderstanding here: search funds ("fondos de búsqueda" = entrepreneurs searching for companies) and funds of search funds (PE-like funds that invest in search funds, providing capital and support to such entrepreneurs).

For the author: we have a quite comprehensive list of all search funds raised in Europe in the past 15 years or so, including their outcomes (our fund Istria has invested in >100 of those).
