Sharing this deck, in case helpful or interesting in any way. 1st & 1st Consulting did a great job identifying and describing social insights (and numerous business implications?!) from covid-19. Now in early July, this publication helps us to look back over the past ~4 months of observations, trends, quirks, and shifting consumer buying habits.

One such favorite of mine, which also hits close to home, is slide 22: "Fogging Glasses Will Lead to More Lasik Surgeries. With masks expected to be a more permanent part of our future, those with glasses are realizing masks are not compatible with glasses. In return, this is making lasik surgery a more attractive and justifiable solution to their problem. As soon as elective surgeries become more available, we predict a spike in Lasik as values shift."

Speaking as someone who currently has covid, here's one. Can you recycle? I've no idea on the answer to that. We didnt put out our trash or recycling. There are a number of other questions that come up when you have it, id say in a lot of people there's likely some period of recovery, that looks like rehab from injury. If I ran a cleaning business I'd be focusing on houses of people whove had covid. Cant find anyone to come and help!

Very interesting! Some good market trends to focus on! Some are more long-term trends than others, but really interesting
