We are seeking MBA students or postgraduate candidates to lead our sourcing team as Sourcing Team Lead. This is a paid position, with a preference for candidates who are available to work in person. The role is ideal for individuals interested in private equity, M&A, deal origination, investment research, business development, and lower-middle-market acquisitions. As a Sourcing Team Lead, the candidate will manage a team of Sourcing Analysts and oversee the firm’s deal sourcing workflow.
As a Sourcing Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
• Leading a team of Sourcing Analysts
• Overseeing each analyst’s sourcing progress
• Holding weekly review meetings with team members
• Reviewing sourced companies for quality, completeness, and strategic fit
• Filtering companies into priority tiers for partner review
• Maintaining the CRM with acquisition targets.
• Conducting outreaches
• Preparing and presenting weekly summaries
Ideal candidates should have:
• Current enrollment in MBA and obtained undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, economics, entrepreneurship, or a related field
• Strong interest in private equity, M&A, entrepreneurship, investment research, or deal origination
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to evaluate business quality and strategic acquisition fit
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage weekly deadlines and team accountability
• Experience with CRM platforms, PitchBook, Preqin
• Prior investment banking, private equity, search fund, consulting, corporate development, or business development experience is a plus
