Spun out but cashed in? Need tips

I was recently sourcing a deal and it didn’t land, but the CEO offered a unique twist: he’s spinning out his supplement line and wants to kickstart our relationship by underwriting a purchase order for a healthy sum, as a goodwill move.
The ask: I’ve never operated in the vitamins/supplements space. I’m looking for playbooks or advice on how to execute this smoothly; thinking credit lines, factoring, or subcontracting to keep things capital-light and avoid liquidity crunches.
What I need: Any insight, intros, or even cautionary tales on structuring deals in CPG/nutraceuticals welcome. Want to avoid rookie mistakes while keeping the upside.
