I might have the opportunity to work with an experienced entrepreneur and start a company with immediate product market fit/cashflow from their network (high probability of success).

Is it worth it to pursue starting/growing a company like this for 2 years to gain SMB experience? Or is it better to spend another year in corporate to build up more capital for search/acquisition?

I am 24 with 3 yrs corporate experience.

If you can, make sure you have PO's in hand before you leave your job.

Having done several startups, I am refreshed with now operating an existing business. It is so much easier.

See if you can buy something in the same space as your startup would be- this value add is exactly what you'll need for growth.

The thesis of "Buy then Build" is one that I agree with still- buying an existing business has significant benefits over startups.

Agreed with the comments above. Added benefit of it gets you closer to the experience you're seeking. Corporate life can be pretty different from SMB/startups. Good to sample it to make sure it's a good fit for you.
