I'm a software/product/engineering leader and founder (prior successful exit) looking to back one or two profitable small or lower-middle-market businesses with both capital and hands-on technology/AI/process firepower.
I co-invest selectively as a hands-on, value-add partner — usually a minority, aligned position rather than a lead check — paired with a defined, part-time value-creation role. On structure I'm flexible: current yield, equity upside, or a blend, sized to the deal. My edge is turning manual, workflow-heavy operations into systematized, AI-assisted ones: automating back-office processes, building reporting and operating cadence, and improving customer retention — the levers that move margin in services businesses.
Best fit: B2B and tech-enabled services, recurring-revenue or workflow-heavy models — MSP/IT services, compliance/credentialing/licensing, bookkeeping/payroll and outsourced finance/admin, vertical marketing, SaaS + services.
Criteria:
- A specific business under LOI, post-close, or a defined growth project.
- Already profitable or cash-flowing.
- Capable operator in place (or clearly stepping in post-close).
- Clear use of capital.
Not a fit: anything requiring a personal guarantee; pre-revenue or speculative projects; turnarounds dependent on heroic execution; or situations that only work if I run the business day-to-day.
